Makeup Mayhem!

Hello my lovely readers!  I’m back again after a 3 month hiatus.  Life has gotten so busy and hectic in the last few months, it’s hard to find the time to blog any more.  But I will still endeavour to find time to do so as long as I am able!

If you happen to have read some of my past posts, you will know I am Continue reading

Ready, Set, Summer!

Fresh Summer Makeup

This is a treat for all you Northern Hemisphere-ers out there (and let’s face it, there’s a lot more of you guys than there is us Southerners).  Even though it is winter here, I live in the subtropics so it’s pretty much summer here all year round.  Temperatures during the day stay around the low 20s C (70 F) most winter days.  So I figured I am pretty well qualified to talk on the subject of getting ready for summer ^_^ Continue reading

It’s that time of the week again!  This week’s favourite is for those of you who are hanging on to the last warm days of summer or enjoying the first glimmers of warm spring days.  This shimmer lotion from The Body Shop is made with vanilla extract and Community Fair Trade shea butter , and is seriously pretty. Mini Maybelline Haul and First Impressions

I have a couple of Autumn-hued berry beauties for you today.  I’ve been seeing these colours pop up on my Instagram feed quite a bit lately, and I haven’t got either of these products in my stash yet so I wanted to give them a try.  The products are the MasterGlaze blush stick in the shade Make a Mauve and ColorDrama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil in the shade Berry Much. Friday Favourite – Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Rich Raisin

Neutrogena MoistureSmooth (1)This product is one of the chubby lip crayon variety.  The main selling point for me was the colour.  I actually ordered this before Christmas last year, well before I knew that Marsala was going to be 2015’s colour of the year.  Points to me for foresight!  This lippy is the perfect Marsala wine colour.  It is so beautiful I can hardly describe it.  It’s almost a neutral colour, you can wear it with nearly everything Continue reading

Makeup Monday – St. Patrick’s Day

Makeup Monday – St. Patrick’s Day

Makeup Inspiration Monday #3 - St. Patrick's Day (1)

This week’s Emerald Isle inspired look comes just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.  If you’re searching for a look to wear this Tuesday the 27th of March, this just might be the inspiration you need 🙂

I used this as an opportunity to try something a little different, a little out there, bright and colourful.  I’m usually a neutral eyes person so this was a lot of fun for me.  Continue reading

Friday Favourite – Lorac Pro 2 Palette

Friday Favourite - Lorac Pro 2 Palette (2)Friday Favourite - Lorac Pro 2 Palette (1)I am slightly ashamed to admit that this is the first real eyeshadow palette I have ever purchased.  I’ve been a loyal slave to my beloved MAC shadows for as long as I can remember, and I didn’t think I needed anything else.  However my curiosity got the better of me recently Continue reading

Friday Favourite – Original Source Vanilla & Raspberry Shower Gel

This is the first of a new feature that I want to start.  Every Friday I’m going to share with you my favourite for the week, whether it be a beauty product, fashion favourite, hairstyle, baby item, who knows?  I’ll try to mix it up to make it interesting.  At the end of each season I’ll post a summary of that season’s favourites.

Makeup Monday – Soft Peach

I enjoyed this so much that I have decided to do this every week!  Assuming I get enough entries to choose from of course.  So jump on board and give me your ideas!  I will use the winning idea as inspiration for a makeup look sometime throughout the coming week, and feature the idea on the blog, Facebook and Instagram!  Entries close 10am Tuesday GMT and you can enter right here in the comments, or through Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.  It’s summer here right now so keep that in mind.

This is my take on Continue reading
